I’m going to post a message that will probably offend you the moment you hear it, but you will find yourself agreeing right after… and will probably find yourself questioning some modern views on humanity. Here it is… we are not all the same. We are not all equal.
Offended? Ok, hear me out. I’m not saying that differences in quality are based on skin color or gender. I’m not saying it has to do with politics or even what your religion is. But, we are different, and you know that I’m right.
How many people in your life have failed you… not just failed you but failed to live up to THEIR potential? And, there it is.. it is good to recognize equality of opportunity or equality of potential, but not everyone lives up to their potential, and I don’t think we should reward those that fail others or themselves with the same honor as those who do… do you?
Some can’t help their failures, and that is understandable. However, even the disabled can be cruel or careless, so they SHOULD be judged by what they CAN do, as should we all.
So, I’ll leave it there for you to consider. Are you living up to your potential and being worthy of your reward? Are those around you? If not, you shouldn’t and neither should they expect the same outcomes. As for me, I’ll strive to reach my best and seek others on the same journey for my companions and more.
